Infertility Timeline

Sept. '03 get back from honeymoon and throw out birth control, but will 'be careful'

June '06 actively start ttc. actually say to a friend "i hope i don't get pregnant RIGHT away." silly me

Aug. '06 start charting cycles, also going on cruise, maybe that will help

Sept. '06 not pregnant. maybe ship was too rocky for embryo to implant

Dec. '06 went to Hawaii for lots of bd'ing

Jan. '07 maybe did too much hiking in Hawaii for embryo to implant

Apr. '07 speak w/ OB about reasons not pregnant. told to start clomid, but i wanted an HSG first to r/o tubal issues. HSG 4/27. not too bad, but had alot of meds. i heart poly-pharmacy. HSG normal. husband has SA, passed with swimming colors. all of my bloodwork looks great

June '07 1st round of clomid. funny, all the u/s techs are on vacation when i need my u/s to check my ovaries and get HCG injection for ovulation. so, no u/s, and no HCG. thanks alot assholes

July '07 finally someone is around to do an u/s. large cyst on R ovary - started on birth control to shrink it

Aug. '07 OB says they can't help me anymore, i need an RE.
Appt w/ RE 8/22. he tells me cyst is even bigger now and will need surgery to remove it. also laughed out loud when i told him we were off of birth control for almost 3 years before we started trying and didn't get knocked up b/c we were "very careful". his words "no one is that good." 8/24 off to cozumel for bd'ing anyway

Sept. '07 pretty sure i had too many mojito's for any kind of embryo implantation. 9/28 laparoscopy. found stage III endo. turns out i am not as smart as i thought i was. never knew i had it. husband wants to try "on our own" again for awhile. RE gives us until Christmas

Oct. '07 vegas.....not conducive to bd'ing. also had saline u/s. son of a bitch, that was horrible. clearly i did not medicate myself as well as i did for the HSG. saline u/s showed normal uterus. had creepy resident in room. i did not appreciate that one bit, especially when he started rubbing my arm. ick

Nov. '07 have my husband stand on bed and hang me upside down by my ankle's after bd'ing to aid in getting pregnant. negative preg test, postive headache for 2 days. thanks LB

Jan. '08 begin IF treatments - 50mg clomid, HCG injection and IUI

Feb. '08 - 50mg clomid, HCG, IUI

Mar. '08 - 50mg clomid, HCG, IUI

Apr. '08 move on to injectables. 150IU gonal-f sq on CD 3-10, HCG, IUI

Apr. 14th - cycle didn't work. taking a break while deciding what next move will be, more injectables or IVF.

June '08 - met with new RE. plans for IVF late spring/summer '09.

Sept. '08 - going bald from ripping hair out about when is the best time to do IVF w/ school, work, graduation, new job, SIL wedding, etc.

Dec. '08 - IVF class

Jan. '09 - final testing before IVF

Colossal Failure #1 (IVF #1)

Feb. 15th - suppression meds for IVF, Lupron 10u sq once a day.

Feb. 26th - baseline ultrasound and blood work. ultrasound looks great, small number of antral follicles on each ovary, E2 15 (wanted less than 100).

Feb. 27th - begin stims - Gonal-f 150u sq twice a day, Lupron 5u sq once a day.

Mar. 2nd - 1st ultrasound and blood work since starting stims. E2 47 and shitty, 3 follicles <10mm on R, 5 follicles <10mm on L as well as smaller ones on each side.

Mar. 6th - 2nd ultrasound and blood work after stims. E2 275 (wtf is going on?), lining great, 3 follicles on R, 5 follicles on L all measuring 10-13mm and some smaller ones on each side.

Mar. 9th - 3rd ultrasound and blood work. lining 10.1, 3 follicles on the L measuring 16-20mm, 1 on the R measuring 25mm, E2 oh who the fuck even cares anymore? clearly it's shitty. and what in the hell happened to the other g-damn follicles that were just there a few days ago? IVF cancelled, converted to IUI # fucking 5. HCG sq at night x1.

Mar. 11th - IUI #5 - BFN

IVF #2

May 1st - start BCP for 14 days.

May 18th - CD 2 baseline u/s and b/w. Nice antral follicles on both ovaries. E2 level 9. Start 20 units micro dose Lupron tonight. Then 20 units micro dose Lupron and 225 units Gonal-f every morning and 20 units micro dose Lupron and 225 units Menopur every night.

May 22 - 1st monitoring appt, day 3.5 of stims. E2 285. 4-6 follicles on each ovary with some smaller ones.

May 25th - Day 6.5 of stims. E2 1213. 5 large follicles on R, 3 large follicles on L. Some smaller ones on each side.

May 27th - Day 8.5 of stims. E2 2313. 5-7 total follicles. son of a bitch. Retrieval set for 5/29 0830.

May 29th - ER. 8 eggs retrieved.

May 30th - 1st fert report. 6 eggs were mature, 3 fertilzed normally, 1 fertilized abormally and 2 didn't fertilize. Start PIO injections.

May 31st - All 3 embryo's still growing. Two of them are 4-cells and one is a 6 cell.

June 1st - ET. transferred 2 embryo's. One was starting to compact and the other was an 8 cell. They were given a grade of A+ and A for embryo quality.

June 3rd - Remaining embryo "a very nice looking blastocyst" and frozen.

BFP time

June 10th - 9dp3dt. 1st time i POAS. Faint + line.

June 15th - 1st beta at 14dp3dt - 686.

June 22nd - 2nd beta at 21dp3dt - 11,180.

July 2nd - 1st ultrasound - 1 beautiful heartbeat @ 6weeks, 4days.

July 13th - 2nd ultrasound. baby measuring 1 day ahead, fetal HR 171.

Aug 3rd - NT scan and bloodwork. 1:10,000 chance of baby having trisomy 18 or 21. fetal HR 171.

Aug 10th - 13weeks 3days pregnant. on medical leave from work with hyperemesis that started 8 weeks ago. fetal HR 140.

Aug 14th - zofran pump here i come. fetal HR 160.

Aug 21st - fetal HR 156.
